 Professional Learning Workshops and Programs
Advance Teacher Training provides quality literacy professional development in Asia. Schools can book training days or teachers may choose to attend central literacy training.
We aim to strengthen the understanding of methods to teach reading, writing and spelling. Improvement in literacy skills is an outcome of our training.
Personalised Staff Professional Development
In consultation with school Leadership Teams, we are able to develop a whole school literacy program tailored to meet individual school needs. We are able to customize literacy programs to complement the Primary Years Program in International Baccalaureate Schools. Advance Teacher Training also provides coaching and classroom demonstrations.
A Variety Of Professional Learning Opportunities
Coaching and Demonstrations Program
Through discussions with Leadership Teams and teachers we can implement a Coaching and Classroom Demonstrations Program. We can focus on a particular year level and coach key teachers or work with teachers who volunteer. We would meet these designated teachers and discuss their professional development needs and collaboratively plan a coaching and demonstration program. Other teachers would be invited to the classroom demonstrations. 'Seeing is believing' and teachers find this an effective method for understanding how they can implement change in their classroom practice.
School Based Workshop Program
Schools may wish to book workshops to provide school training days. Workshops can be tailored to meet the needs of schools and can also be combined with a Coaching and Demonstration Program.
Schools can request particular topics in literacy or choose from some of the following topics:
A Range of Workshops for Individual Teachers
Teachers can also choose to attend central workshops on topics that particularly interest them. These workshops are open to all schools that are based on a pay-per-person fee.
