Motivate students to write in a variety of genres
Knowing how to write in various genres is of key importance to successful writing in society today. This workshop focuses on the importance of choosing the best genre or text type to ensure the written message is clearly understood. The presenter will demonstrate how to teach a new genre through shared and modelled writing, shared reading, read-aloud, independent writing and guided writing.

This workshop will examine how to teach genre without turning students off writing.
